It's that time of year when school starts and lice know NO socioeconomic boundaries. It is much better to be proactive -vs- reactive so check you child's head each week for the lice or the white nits they leave behind. Remember, lice love clean homes and clean heads of hair to make a home!
Some helpful tips to prevent outbreaks: When at the movie theater be sure to throw a jacket over the seat's head-rest, then wash it as soon as you get home (don't let your child wear the jacket), kids should avoid sharing hats with one another; headbands and head wear are great items for these little nasty critters that like sticking around. And remember to BE KIND to those dealing with an outbreak. It could be you and lice don't care where you live or how much money you make ... they visit anyone, anywhere, at anytime.
