My nephew, who is six-years-old, is a spit-fire and absolutely hysterical. My brother told me about him getting in trouble a lot in Spanish class ... Well, one day my brother happened to be at school at the moment his Spanish teacher sent him to the office with another disruptive student. My brother got on him pretty good, "Kyle, this is unacceptable! You cannot be unruly and get kicked out of class!" Kyle got all red in the face, and looked like a "pressure-cooker," and he said, "But DADDD ... Ms. Perez talks so fast ... and I don't understand what she is saying half the time!" ... He paused and continued ... "AND, she even knows how to speak English!!!" Then he spun around and said, "Adios," and took off to the principal's office.
My brother decided a conference with Ms. Perez was appropriate so that his son would understand WHY he was in this class to begin with; to learn another language and not to be frustrated out of his little mind!
