Teeth Brushing

I don't know why it's such a chore to get my five-year-old son to brush his teeth. He tells me the mint is too strong but give him a peppermint candy or piece of gum and he loves it! So this morning I told him that he has to brush his teeth, WITH TOOTHPASTE, or no one at school will enjoy talking with him. He's says, "Hey mommy, a child at school really did say that my breath was icky." "Well, there you have it," I replied, "he doesn't want to talk to someone with bad breath." But then my son says," Well, he may have said that but he still played and talked to me until you picked me up."

Go figure! I am still battling the brushing debate!
