Ding

My four-year-old was so excited to hop out of our car and hop into his favorite pizza joint. My husband and I have always told him to wait for us, so we can open the door for him, but today his excitement got the best of him. The wind didn't help - his door blew open and we just didn't catch it in time. It put a teeny, tiny, speck of a ding on the adjacent car's side mirror --- yes, I know, I felt horrible BUT I really couldn't do a thing about it. So my husband and I tried to quickly move along - it was nothing that touch up paint wouldn't cover 100%. My son however, pointed to the missing paint and announced to the world that we did in fact ding the other car. "Look, the paint is gone!" Everyone eating at the pizza place could look out the big picture window and see his gestures and know exactly what happened. To our parking companion, please forgive us!
